"What's Eating You?" is a website which provides scientifically proven facts and information about ultra-processed foods, diet foods and fad diets while guiding you towards sustainable eating practices. The food industry often directs our attention towards fat, sugar, carbs and calories discouraging us from considering the overall quality of the food. Even labels on packaged food such as, "100% Natural", "No Added Sugar" are merely marketing tactics to entice us into purchasing these products. The healthiest approach to a healthier life is to buy and cook locally, ensuring that we obtain all the necessary nutrients our bodies require for optimal health.
Website: For the website’s branding, capturing
attention was key. The colour palette was
designed to be bold and bright, reflecting the
vibrant packaging of processed foods. As users
navigate the site, the colours transition to green,
symbolising a shift toward sustainable eating
with local food. For typography, I selected a
versatile font family ranging from thin to bold,
visually representing the impact of ultra-processed
foods on weight gain and overall health.
Motion Graphics: To make the website more
engaging, each page begins with a motion
graphic video highlighting common mistakes,
followed by informative content guiding users
toward better choices as they scroll.

Merchandise: I have designed a range of merchandise to promote healthy habits and support our cause. The collection includes:

  1. A meal planner to encourage home cooking and mindful meal preparation.

  2. Fridge magnets* with motivational quotes, serving as daily reminders to make positive food choices

  1. An informative leaflet summarising key insights from the website for easy reference.

  2. A reusable mesh shopping bag, perfect for carrying fresh produce from local markets.

  •

  • Each item is thoughtfully crafted to inspire healthier lifestyles and sustainable eating habits.

  •

*The quotes for Fridge magnets are from the nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar
Posters and Banner: To promote the website, posters
will be displayed at bus stops and throughout
cities, creating widespread visibility. The campaign
will mimic traditional weight loss solution
advertisements, drawing attention and sparking
curiosity to engage a broader audience.
